Worth upgrading the wiring?

Just a quick question that essentially comes down to me being lazy and not wanting to sit in the rain playing find the wires:

I have a 97 Disco that I will be putting a Clarion head unit and some decent 4 inch Polk speaker up front (maybe some JayCar 4 inch in the back or some 5/6 if I can make them fit). As the head unit has a decent output i was thinking of just running the speakers off it rather than using an amp etc.

As the bits are in the post at the moment it dawned on me that the Disco's speaker cables may be the limiting factor in this planned set up....

So does anyone know if I will need to rout new wires all over the shop or if the stock wiring will be ok? Not to good with audio stuff... :( Hoping its just plug in an ISO loom and off we go.

If you're not adding an amp just buy an aeropro adaptor harness to avoid cutting any wires. plug and play.

I used existing wire and have 6x9 speakers in the rear. My thoughts are that you will never be able to hear any difference in sound by changing the wires. I would certainly love to hear from someone who can hear the difference....

Re: putting big speakers in the back, 1 point i will make is, make sure they are secured properly. I used BIG spacers and just screwed the spacers into the pillar panel. The panel is not very well secured to the vehicle body, so all the effort the speaker puts into creating sound gets lost by the panel moving. You need the speaker to be solidly secured. IMO Things like this will make 100 times more difference than things like wire size.
