Hi,
I'm trying to remove the speedo/rev/fuel gauge dash on my puma, but have no idea how to detach a cable connector behind the dash.:(
Can someone pls tell me how to detach it?

Thanks

Difficult to explain but really easy to do !

If you undo the two screws holding the speedo at the bottom you'll be able to pull it out enough to see the connector better, but basically the black part is a hinged clip that you get your finger nail under at the top and lift it and it will swivel to the right.

I'll take some pictures of a disconnected one on the weekend if you haven't worked it out by then

Thats a timely question for myself as well labrado.

I have a stereo head unit upgrade with new speakers etc. I had a bit of a play the other day to see if the new tweeters were going to fit without mods.

I had no idea how to remove the factory ones so I removed the speedo unit, no dramas and then found that clip as well but couldn't for the life of me work out how to undo it(I didn't want to break it) Well anyhow the tweeters could have been removed by popping upwards with a panel removal tool.

Matt, there is a small cable tie around the clip, not the one around the wires, from memory I had a tiny one around the grey and black part. Do we need to remove this?

From memory you didn't need to remove it to take the connector out but I did remove it because I was connecting the cruise control into the loom
