well I had a cracking day yesterday, almost got the Sal transplant into the 130.
It was going great until I went to fit the callipers, and then, a show stopper at 4.45pm.

It appears the new supplied rotors sit 5mm outward to much. When I measured the old Sal disc's out bound pad face to the out bound mounting face there is a distance of 50mm. My new supplied rotors have 45.

I know there is no difference in callipers and mountings as the old Sal callipers have been placed on my moving on P38, and the mount is a permanent fixture. The The rota distance for my P38 out bound to out bound is 44, so it looks like I have been supplied P38 rotors.

Does anyone know the correct part number for disc rotors for a 94 Salisbury. Just standard plain, no bling.

There were two different Sals rear rotors from memory Jase, the ABS ones are slightly thicker. ('99 on ?)

IIRC the DBA catalogue was wrong, there was a thread recently on this with JC's corrections.
I'll try and find it.

This thread mate http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130-defender-county/165604-disc-brake-dismay.html
It has all the relevant numbers and advice from the master :D

Should have # like DBA86or RDA86 or - - -86 depending on manufacturer with suffix letters like S(sotted) D (drilled) etc.

These are what I just fitted to my Sals.

cheers

I used 'DBA rotor' for the subject and 'justinc' as the member for the search parameters, otherwise use the google search at the bottom of the page, but while better it wouldn't have been as specific.

I had a bit of a chuckle when I found it as we were all in there giving our two bobs worth on it too :D
