Hi all,

I have created an aluminium bracket and a guide to position and fixing of the bracket, remote head and control cable.

I hope the attached PDF illustration provides enough guidance for the new 2013 model with the 8 speed box.

Good luck and happy communication while motoring.

Regards

Hi All,

This is part 2, mounting a HF/VHF/UHF transceiver in the Disco 4 TDV6 HSE 2013 8 speed.

Please note, this post is subject to vehicle specifics and I cannot guarantee the OEM bracket is not used in your optioned model.

The bracket, mounting, radio position and air flow is all care and no responsibility on my part.

Over the past 1 month, I struggled to find a suitable place to mount the radio body. The following photos is a quick overview of the best location in my view for my needs and radio type. This position is also a great spot of UHF CB's, infact the small Uniden UHF055 with detacheble head will fit very nicely under the drivers seat.

For those who have not explored space under the seat(s), my passenger seat also has space, enough to fit the chooky, just need to find a spot for the detacheble head and mic.

I can only load 5 photos at a time, this is the first of several replies.

I will do a proper write-up in the next week with some dimensions.

Happy talking and motoring.

Regards

Gerald

Part 3, more photos.

I will post more parts such as routing coax cable, power cable and a neat way of mounting a small speaker for driver only, behind head rest via 2 mounting brackets
