Just a quick question to find out if 19 inch BMW x5 rims have the same stud pattern as a 2012 D4?

I expect they will need the long shank tapered nuts that some people (myself included) use with BMW 17" rims to get enough threads for the short LR studs, assuming that those nuts fit inside the holes in the 19" rims.

The stud pattern is the same but it is likely the centre will be too small.

Having been recently searching for a set of 17's and utilised the depth of knowledge on Aulro - thanks Baz :BigThumb:(aka Redback for your help). Wheelnuts need to be different for 17s to a D4/3, a link to appropriate nuts is - maybe the same for 19s(?):
3rd nut along top row.

More specific to the 19inch question I came across this list on an Aulro search:(I think originally posted by GazM3) I assume that they are correct but I am quoting someone so please recheck to be sure. It appears the series of X5 the wheels come from will make a difference.
Heres a list of the bmw models and offsets that are relevant.

X5 E53 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 72.5mm and M14x1.5 bolt thread. ET 40-45

X5 E70 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 74.0mm and M14x1.25 bolt thread. ET 37-53 (would need hubcentric spacer 72.5-74mm)

X6 E71 = PCD 5x120, centre bore FRONT 74.0mm, centre bore REAR 72.5mm and M14x1.5 bolt thread. (would need hubcentric spacer 72.5-74mm - on front only)
Hope that some of that helps,
Pat

There's also the question as to whether they clear the brake callipers width-wise.

What year x5 are the rmis off ??
Why i ask is that there is a big change in years to offsets of the rims must look at wheel track as well..
D4 front is 1605mm Rear is 1612
X5 is front 1560 rear is 1566
Its not as simlpe bolt on or put a hub ring on to them..
Just my 2cents worth.........

Comparing track between the 2 vehicles doesn't reveal anything, its the rim offset that needs to be considered. EG LR rims have 53mm positive offset whereas 17" X5 rims have 40mm positive offset.

I have a set of E53 X5 17" rims and also a set of E53 18" rims, the 18" rims won't fit my D3 because although the centre is 72.5mm it tapers to a smaller diameter too quickly and won't fit.
I don't know if other rims are like this though.
