Hi guys
Silly question #684
After filling up the Fuel, all the way up the neck of the filler, I noticed a lot of fuel seemed to be leaking out of the tank.
Coming from the hose indicated in the attached image.
Is this normal? I have just returned from giving the 110 a bit of a hard time in some bog holes etc, and have always filled to the same level (or even higher) on the neck and never noticed this issue before.

Yep thats normal, mine got even worse when I added the rear quarter tank and in the end I just added some additional hose and ran the end up to the top of the snorkel.
The hose is just Bunnings irrigation hose and joiners and takes about 10 minutes. Heat the hose a bit to get the joiners on easier.

Thanks Chook
Nearly up to 20,000 and this is the first time I have had the issue.
I will extend the breather as you have suggested, cheers!

I found two things, 1 is temperature so if you fill up and its a hot day the fuel expands rapidly (in the ground its generally cooler than outside) and 2 is that if the ground at the bowser leans away from filler neck and you fill right up to the top then it is enough to overflow.
In any case extending the breather hose resolved it for me and with the height if you put a fuel filter on the end your less likely to get water and dust in there. I was never comfortable with where the fuel breather is on these cars, it just seems a bit silly.
