Check crankcase filter. If these block, which they do, the vehicle will blow smoke. If filter is blocked the crankcase will pressurise and cause a myriad of problems, like oil leaks through gaskets and others. Jim

Since it's still fresh in your mind - how hard was it? I have the new part ready to go in, but haven't got around to fitting it. I haven't even checked the RAVE yet to see where it lives...

Cheers - Gav.

Cheers - Gav.It is a bit of work, depending on your mech. ability, google"change engine breather td6",one of the threads shows where it is,basicaly, remove engine cowlings, unbolt and unclip most of injector harness,it is under a cover with i think 4 or 5 bolts right at the back of the engine above the air cleaner.Look for a cover with an odd shape at the front and a round cover at the rear. The new gaskets will give you an idea what shape to look for.Good luck;).

You'll be fine Gav. Not that hard to do. Think I only had to remove one screw from injector harness & fiddle to get old housing & filter out and new in.
