Hi, Can anyone tell me what this black plastic gadget on the fuel cooler line is and what it does.I can only guess at a flow regulator of sorts but can find no info. on RAVE or elsewhere.57628

That piping arrangement (in both linked pics) isn't in Microcat either, but the right angle hose that I'm used to seeing is marked as fitting engines up to 3A828206, so it's possible that the 2004MY had a different arrangement.
Only other explanation would be that it's been modified at some point.

isnt that a coolant air bleed-like you get on nissan vehicle.
so they can fast fill coolant on assembley line.

My '04 has the same arrangement. It is a bleed screw. I am changing my coolant as I type!!. Un do it and all the coolant from the fuel cooler will be purged out as well.

The v8's have a bleeder that looks just like that in the T in the upper coolant hose.
