Just making a few mods to my XP9.5 install (remote controlled emergency power cutoff, amongst other things) and I started wondering about whether the factory winch made use the existing 500a megafuse or is it just the dodgy old straight to the battery terminal arrangement?
Downside would be that a winch overload/short would take out the entire power circuit, but it's not like a couple of spare fuses are expensive or harder to carry.
Anyone got the factory setup able to comment on the wiring? Either way I'll be running a fused circuit for my winch, but not sure if I can make use of the current fuse arrangement or not.
