TDV6 Fuel bleed tool

Found this valve used in aircraft landing gear, which can be adapted with a hose to replace special tool 310-116

The tool is used to bleed air from the LP fuel system afer filter change etc (or running out of diesel!) The one I put together shown in the pic works great

I have one of those but find that cycling the ignition through about three or four cycles without starting the engine clears air out of the low pressure diesel system OK.
Anyone aware of any issues with this approach?

Hi Barry,
The important part is not starting the engine before you cycle the fuel pump three or four times. The problems start when you forget................... as I did once when I was doing a service.
