Do you have a Series vehicle and have an interest in getting together with like minded folks! Then read on....:)

What does SLOW Inc. offer to the Series Driver?

1. A club whereby concessional registration is available for vehicles that meet the criteria. We offer Special Interest Registration to Series Land Rovers and Rover derivatives.

2. A club where the members dictate the parameters of trips they wish to present, by the submission of a simple trip registration form, available in the "Trip Requests" area of our forum. Completed trip request forms are acted upon within hours of being lodged, with the issue of an official trip number. Effectively this means any trip can be called at short notice, and be granted full legal status to go ahead without any further deliberation.

3. No limitation regarding who the trip leader might invite on club trips - whether they be other clubs or individuals . Members and their guests are fully covered by the club's Public Liability Insurance, a comprehensive policy that is underwritten by Lloyds of London.

4. No minimum/maximum number of trip attendees. The Secretary of our club has advice from both the Queensland Police and the Department of Transport that once our club trip protocol is implemented, and a trip number is thus issued, it matters not if there are 1 or 100 vehicles attending any given trip. This is an important consideration to a small club, because it means our members are not restricted if a trip has been organised and others are unable to attend.

These points above distinguish SLOW from the many other clubs and associations in SE Qld. We do not apply any rules which dictate to members such things as a minimum number of required vehicles to form an official trip - can be 100 vehicles, can be just 1..... Nor do we impose a minimum wait period from trip lodgment to when a trip may be held. Nor do we limit whom might attend...guests are welcome. Our trip protocol is in full compliance with all state laws and statues.

SLOW prides itself in providing a flexible, transparent and bona fide framework for the Series Land Rover enthusiast.

We hold monthly meetings, which are open to anyone with an interest in Series Land Rovers, offer club merchandise (with plans to expand) and hold educational events such as club workshop days where members can get hands on with technical details relating to our vehicles.

Membership is only $25.00 for individuals and $40.00 for families, and further information can be found in our Slow Chat forum area or by contacting me, Dan (Club President), on 0410 648483.

Come along and see for yourself - SLOW is the Series Landy Club.

Our Patron, Arthur Goddard - Land Rover's first engineer and man behind the Series 1 (in front in this case!) - with my Series 1, Matilda.
