Hi all,
Lately my 2011 D4 2.7 transmission with 48k on the clock has done some weird things.
Every now and again (say once a week) on take off it'll hang onto 1st until the taco hits >3k. I'm not flooring it, flat and straight road and its not in sports mode.
Out on the highway doing say 110kph if I take my foot off the accelerator it'll drop into 5th for a split second. Or that's what it sounds and feels like. It's maybe done this 4 times in a month.
2 years service is due in April. Any ideas welcome.

No ideas - mine is the same. Usually it is after the first stop of the day. There is a stop sign at the end of the street after a steep descent. So you coast to the stop sign under brakes.
Does it almost always under these conditions at that point. Seems to behave itself after that.

Mine is simillar, especially when the engine is cold and you have the A/C on for the first minute or so.
Can't say I have any freeway gear change issues.

The low speed issue is still there. The high speed issue has disappeared.

I will differ,coming out of our driveway,we go down a hill,for about a k,to a stop sign.
When cold, goes down no prob, changes up,with very light or no throttle.
When warm,it will sometimes hang in 1st or possibly 2nd until around 3k until it changes, with little or no throttle. If you accelerate it will change up,but by then you are going faster than you should be going..
Weird, but it has always done this so i thought it was normal.
If yours is doing things that it didn't before, something may be different.

Hi All,
I would check the fluid condition. Possibly carry out a Trans Service.
White D3, you have said it is a 2011 & due for the 2nd year service, did you mean 3rd year? Due on time more than K's??
Cheers

This is an old thread, just updated after I read a similar thread elsewhere. Just had its 3rd year service.
