Glow plug troubles?

Hello all,

Past couple of days when I turn the key half way for the glow plugs (TD5) to warm up, neither the glow plug light on the instrument panel lights up or does the engine fire......justs turns over, and over. If I use the remote locking a few times (lock/ unlock), eventually the glow plug light comes on and so to does the engine fire.
Any thoughts?:(

sounds like the immobilizer, could be a dodgy relay, low battery or bad earth connection.
