I can't get my exhaust manifold shield off as the rear bolt on the turbo is seized but I am able to get the clips/hose off from underneath.

Question is how do I fit the new hose as the gap between the two pipes is tiny. Are you meant to undo the bolt at the back of the engine that clips the the metal pipe in place?

Yep. That's the 'easiest' way to do it.

Although I guess if you put the hose into a cup of boiling water for a minute it might soften enough to give you the flexibility it needs to bend into that gap.

I didn't try that when I did mine a while back.

Have a scan through the thread titles in the D2 section - there have been some recent threads on this topic.

A gasket scraper?

Liquid nitrogen?

Some gasket remover spray and a PLASTIC scraper is the best. Metal scrapers gouge the alloy defeating the purpose of a machined seal surface. A soft wire brush lightly used works to.
