I hope to be wetting a line at Yanchep for a day or two. Will be happy if I get a feed of Herring. :) Will also try for Taylor but don't like my chances, Easter is not usually known for good fishing...

There is something about fishing at the crack of dawn and then later at dusk. I love it.:D:D:D

Cheers

Also caught a small mullet (no size limit) but threw it back in the hope of more snapper.... No more snapper in the end but it was still a good few hours of fun :)

Only been out once sofar,Easter Sunday.
No pics, the camera didnt get unleashed.
Anyhow, had 3 on board with me whom are all prone to get seasick so we stayed in close targeting bread and butter fish.
Got plenty of herring,a squid, plenty of undersize Skippyand swallow tail, also a just legal Breaksea Island Cod(returned to grow up).I got a nice bonito and a reasonable sargeant baker too.
Had a play with a big bait, got busted off twice by big strong fish, locals say they would have been Samson Fish.Oh to fight them for more than a few minutes.Guessing they cut me off on reef.
We almost went out today,Lindsay and Taylah had to go back to uni so we treated them to breakfast at Dome Cafe, with very full bellies Deb and I hit the boatramp, most were coming in already as the breeze was up.Decided to give it a miss and do tourist stuff.Good weather again tommorow, the plan is to head out to the islands and have a crack at some snapper and King George.
Down here until saturday, good weather all week:):):):):)

Managed to wet a line at Yanchep this evening. Was a perfect sunset, gentle breeze and virtually no waves. Unfortunately no fish as well. Ella had fun casting her rod and then playing on the sand.

All this was after spending a few days replacing my CDL cable, the fishing was far more relaxing.:D

Easterly whipped up here today.
Stayed in behind Mistaken Island for a while,as it got stronger decided to head back inside the protected waters of Princess Royal Harbour.
Caught heaps of bait,ie Herring and Yellowtail.
Trying again tommorow.

Great day out on the briny,it was a bit lumpy so stayed in close again.
Bread and butter fish wernt as plentiful as they have been.
We got 2 33cm King George Whiting today, they have been very hard to find.
I got another 50cm Bonito for the freezer and I released a 75cm Salmon, great fun to catch, power machine.

Went up to our club shack at Bronte Lagoon in the middle of Tasmania.

Weather awful, windy and rainy BUT great fishing.

Caught and returned nine good trout over two days wet fly fishing.

Peter.

Back home after a great holiday, overdid the fishing a bit,ie got burned and the old back said no more.
Best part is it was a reasonable spell away and it seemed to be a long time too:cool::cool::cool::cool:
Really enjoyed getting out on the water.
Until next time.
TIGHT LINES.
