Hi
Island 4x4 have listed a Performance Air Filter for the P38 Bosch models.
"Air Filter Performance (To replace ESR4238 LR027408 ) DA4260 DA4271"
Air Filter Performance DA4260 Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order. (http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/filter-performance-replace-esr4238-lr027408-da4260-da4271-p-5299.html)
I have found that they seem to be the "Britpart Performance Air Filter"
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these ?
Thanks
Steve

I've got one still in the box unused. I've got the GEMS motor and it doesn't fit, they may have sent me the wrong one. Couldn't be bothered sending it back, it's yours if you want it.
Seems alright quality wise, though wouldn't want to travel on dusty dessert roads with it.

Thanks for the offer, I will send you a PM.
I am not sure whether these are the same as K&N filters, there seems to be some argument about that in various forums.
Is the one you have an oiled filter like the K&N? Seems like more trouble than they are worth from the reports of them stuffing up the MAF.

NEVER use a oiled filter with a hotwire maf, the oil WILL kill it. the oil from the filter builds up on the hotwire and burns it out.
