Hi All, An update from a previous post.I have replaced the silica gel and changed the valve assembly in my D3 air compressor about 4 weeks ago. Since doing this I havent had any suspension faults or any faults period. I have been raising and lowering every time I use the vehicle, but I am unable to fault the system. Previous to this I would have some sort of fault a few times a week. Not shaw how this overhaul has fixed all my problems. Weather it was just unplugging or replugging the electrical connections or the overhaul. Who knows! Anyway its a real pleasure not to have any faults coming up.
Cheers:)

The valve kit is available from Landrover for $18 the silica gel I got from a mate who uses it at his work free, didnt replace the relay as is working fine.. I didnt strip down the compressor at this stage as Landrover donot carry any other parts for the compressor. The valve can be changed without taking the compressor from the vehicle. But when you replace the silica gel you can do the valve then. I did read in an earlier thread about the compressor it was posted where you can buy the silica gel for around $15
PS just had a look on ebay more silica gel than you will ever want

All you get in the valve kit is a silicone valve, valve spring and washer. Have to report I still havnt had any faults whatsoever since doing the service on the compressor. Will be going away for a couple of weeks tommorrow will be 4x4ing so I will see how it preforms under adverse conditions.

This is the valve kit, orderable from your friendly LR dealer. I have been fitting a new one every 80,000km or so.

I bought the same valve kit, did not fit it though as my friendly LR dealer cam to the party and fitted a nice new AMK pump with new relay, fuse and software all FOC as a sign of goodwill.
gotta be happy with that. :D
I still have the old pump and will do the valve and replace the silica gel, be a good spare.
cheers
