Folks - I have reverted to my paternal birth surname......My name is again, Daniel Aaron Dienes (it's Hungarian). It is pronounced DNS. :)

I saw the Hungarian bit, and was going to make an "Open All Hours" style crack, but resisted. :D

(Did that show make it over here?)

Just fancied a change Dan?

I'm none of those....Clearly I could call myself moon unit and I would still have my essence....what I have done over the past few years is reconnect with my paternal family....it then became apparent that I was a whole lot more Dienes than Mack....so I have returned to the name I had from birth to 10 years of age.

....When one hears one's name, that name should invoke who one is....I have simply exercised the power of naming, and I feel whole again....And quite surprisingly I think, I do feel completely different...in a positive way. :)

I'd like to tell you Kev, which personality I am today, but the one that knows won't tell me. I'd like to comment on "Open All Hours", but I don't watch TV.

I posted here on AULRO because one thing I need to do now is get this information out as widely as I can, so thanks for reading my story. :)

Nicely said Dan, pretty much exactly what a couple of others I know have said when doing the same thing.

More power to you.

I'm sure you'll get a few "Uh....can you spell that for me?" moments.

Good to hear the positive reason behind the change though Dan.

Thanks - no doubt, but I have come across people who couldn't deal with spelling Mack Mack....even got told once, on giving my surname, that "that can't be right"!
