central locking problem

i,m having a problem with my central locking. the front passenger door wont unlock when double pushing the button on the key. the door only unlocks when you pull on the inside door handle.it wont unlock by pushing the button on the dash or pulling on the tab next to the window. but it locks ok when pushing the lock button on the key.:(any advice greatly appreciated. thanks sockinph.:angrylock:

Sounds like you are heading for a new door lock. Its not an uncommon problem. My drivers door did the same last month.

The part isn't especially expensive but you have to strip the door down and remove the window frame to replace. I ended up leaving it to the mechanic.

There a 2 different motors in the actuator. I had 2 broken actuators and opened them, trying to make one of the two.The 2 motors are slightly different, the wormdrives are slightly different, and since the same motor was broken on both I had to buy another lock.

its interesting this topic has come up. My left rear door is doing this.
So is not a spray some lube in there kind of fix. Its more of a pass me the paypal account, I am going to ebay.?
