So, where is it going to go on AULRO?

The previous version was based on the T5 platform, so shared most of its underpinnings with the D3/4. However, the new RRSport (L494) is based on the same platform as the new Range Rover L405... :D

Based on the Evoque decision I'm GUESSING in with the Range Rovers, however that doesn't factor in the issue if the D5 shares the same platform.

Perhaps we should have a platform based sorting, putting the original Range Rovers and the Disco 1s in the same platform grouping etc.

Why not change it to a system that RangeRovers.net use - if it is called a Range Rover it goes into a Range Rover Section with sub sections based on the model number eg Range Rover Classic, Range Rover P38, Range Rover L322, Range Rover Sport L320, Range Rover Evoque L538, Range Rover Sport L494 and Range Rover L405.

Had a first time look at the new RRS. I appreciate it is as different car completely but in the flesh is not quite as outstanding as it is in the flesh. Clearly the Evoque, L320 and L494 body design wise are all derived from he Stormer concept car of some time back - as such the new RRS looks like a majorly facelifted L320 - a cross between the L320 and Evoque. It felt a bit claustrophobic inside and maybe a tad smaller inside than the current model but that may have been because it was a black on black. While clearly lighter because of it type of construction, visually it looks heavier and fuller than the old version.

Unlike the old versions trim levels are no longer based on engine and now trim levels can specified separate to engines. The base model seems pretty basic by Range Rover standards. I was told dual range can only be specified with the 215kw engine or larger.

Not sure where to post this
I had a TD5 that had an engine failure (amongst a swag of other issues) and I am looking at a RRS 2010. I am reading good an bad things about them. Appears to be a lot of electronic issues.
Can anyone shed any light on their reliability?
I am a Landy tragic but can only take so much unreliability. I do not want a TD5 repeat.
What are your thoughts?
