Had to have my windscreen replaced as a boot fell off a truck and bounced over the car in front of me, but decided to take out my passenger wiper blade assembly and windscreen. In hindsight rather glad it hit the windscreen as that had a no excess insurance cover!

Windscreen was replaced but now the wiper blade just touches the trim on the bottom of the windscreen - giving a nice 'chunk' sound every time it wipes. Bugger just touches. I only need to adjust the 'wipe angle' by about 2mm and all will be well. If I can move the wiper arm one spline (assuming it is splined) all would be well. Is this possible? Or is their another way to adjust the wiper arm?

I had this exact same problem after a windscreen replacement. Really annoying!
Luckily its an easy fix even for the mechanically challenged like me.

Just open the bonnet and remove the cover from the wiper spindle. Undo the nut, pull the wiper blade off enough so you can and move the wiper blade over one notch. Push the wiper blade back on, tighten the nut and replace the cover.

Test to make sure all works OK and you should be fine...

If you struggle to get it off the spline as sometime they can be very stubborn, a small puller such as a battery terminal one will do the trick. ;)
