Coolant question - yes I've searched already!

This is driving me crazy. I did a coolant and hose change last week. No obvious sign of leaks or drop in coolant level. However, I still have a gurgling sound when I accelerate at low speeds - it's not a waterfall sound I had that to start with but after the first bleed/etc. it's more like a babbling brook!

I've bleed the system several times with no air bubbles appearing. My aftermarket temperature sensor show same engine temp as before change and my low coolant alarm doesn't trigger.

I've run the heater on full too and how lose of heat/etc. I'm at a lose and get quite frustrated with it!

It usually caused by air in the system, most likely in the heater core. I had this problem it my D1. I run a hose at low pressure into the heater core with the output pipe off. When it was a clean water flow I put the hoses back on. When filling up it helps to have the cars nose elevated and run it at a fast idle then bleed.

I think it was Blacknight that has a procedure to fill it using a drink bottle into the expansion tank. This lets it find it's correct level.

Thanks for this - makes sense for a complete fill, if I've just done a fill and mixed concentrate/distiller to correct concentration and would rather not do a complete flush again, would filling the coke bottle with 50/50 work if I went for a run with heater on, left it overnight then followed instructions?
