Hi all.
Previously I posted about door rattles in my 09 110 and have fixed the problem.
I realigned the body mounted door catch back about 5 mms and this did the trick. The doors now fit a little better as well (ha ha).
No rattles, squeaks or anything.
Hang on is this a LR

I find I have to slightly realign the doors every 10,000km.....

Hi Chook.
I tried to re-align the door where it meets the body by loosening the hinge screws and found that there is not enough adjustment in an upward motion on the body latch to allow the door to sit where it should in the body frame, so I left it where it was, but at least the rattle is gone.

I have been having a heap of ongoing alignment issues after doing some slight :wasntme: modifications

The interesting thing I have found out that acceptable chassis tolerances in the landrover factory are 12mm. My chassis is 8mm out of alignment from side to side (the passangers side is 8mm behind the drivers side at the point where the rear trailing arms mount).

Hence dont be surprised if your doors dont line up, some days I am just thankful they managed to put the steering wheel on the same side as the pedels!

I still love it! :D

I don't think I want to know what mine would be. Ignorance in this case is bliss.

That is classic. I love it..... lets hope that my new Defender turns up with everything in the right spot and near enough to fitting! :P

If one turns up with the pedals on the wrong side , it should be covered under warranty .:D:D:D..
