Warranty win

The main battery dies in the 110 over Easter. Was going to grab a replacement locally but thought I would check on the cost of genuine only to find out that it was still covered under the new car warranty. How good is that especially as my warranty ends in a couple of months!

Mine just died last week, I put it down to being in workshops for most of the last 8 months and not doing many long trips but it was a 2009 so it looks like I might have done well.

I was pretty happy because I didn't expect it...guess I should read more of the fine print! I assumed that it was a "consumable" but apparently Land rover are one of the few companies which still cover the battery under warranty.

Toyota warrant their battery for 12 mths.
Between yr 1 and 2 they cough up 50% of the cost.
After that your on your own.

Both of my batteries died at 2 yrs and 1 month. Someone in engineering got it spot on!:twisted:

Great news as I don't think they are cheap either. To be honest the warranty is one of the best things with owning a LR.
