Anyone out there got the Canon EOS software CD?
Had some major IT issues of late culminating in me having to reformat my PC. Of course when I went to install the Canon EOS software couldn't find the CD. No drama, just download the programs from Canon? No, not anymore. All one can download are the updaters which require the original disk.
There is a workaround involving REGEDIT which I'd rather avoid if possible.
If someone in Brisbane has the CD could I borrow it for a day?
Or could someone rip it and put it on the net somewhere where I can download it?
Cheers.

Mark,
Have you tried the USA canon site ?
This is from the EOS 50 page

to me that infers it will update or do a complete install, but not being a Canon user I'm not 100% on which software you need.

Thanks Arthur. With great caution I downloaded a RAR file from the first link, scanned and all seems good.
Bushie, those programs are all updaters. They say you can do a new install but only if you have the original CD.

We have two sets of CDs if you want one, I'm assuming they are the same for all EOS Canons:confused:

Thanks Guys but the file Arthur pointed me to did the trick. Installed that then ran the updaters and all was good.
