Since I bought my D3 (secondhand) the top trim on the windscreen has struggled to stay in place, in particular in hot weather.
Anyone offer some hints on a practical way to get it to stay in place?

I'm guessing starting by replacing the old molding is a good start.....

Supermono,
The correct way to fix this is to remove the screen and the old urethane, fit a new mould (the old one may not be able to be refitted ) apply new urethane and refit the screen. It is best done by someone with proper tools and training. Hope this helps,

Cheers,
Glenn.

Had the same problem in a RRS. Took it to the dealer who organised to have the windscreen removed and re fitted to only way unfortunately. In my case not so bad as still under warranty.
cheers

Thanks, I had guessed the best way was replace and screen out.

For the moment I left the trim in the sun to warm up, sprayed lightly with diluted CT-18 and poked it back in.

Fits a lot better than it did before and hasn't popped back out yet.

The screen has been previously replaced (before my time) and I would say the original trim was reused and not that well fitted.

I think it's one of those items that are advisable to be changed when the screen is. I've just had my D3's screen replaced, and they changed that seal for me.
