I fitted an allard full front intercooler to my 300tdi 110, once the pump was tuned to suit-very happy, there[allards] tuning info that came with the intercooler was nothing more than turning the diaphram in the injector pump.
make sure they take the vat off when purchasing, i also have an allisport wider radiator[they were easier/keener to deal with imho]

I fitted an Alisport intercooler to my Puma. I now find myself looking for an 8th gear :D

Naks,
My car will be out of warranty this Sunday morning (21 April 2013) and I'm going down the same route as you.
I've already made contact with the guys at Bell Auto and once Paypal and my bank can get their ducks in a row, I'll be placing an order.
I read the thread on your intercooler installation and reading this you're pretty happy with the improvement?
Now I've just got to work out which one suits the Aussie spec 2.4 (with or without aircon) as apparently the non aircon one fits the aircon equiped Aussie spec vehicles (or something like that...)
Cheers,
Lou

Yes it does, but Allisporf recommended I just go with the A/C model to make life easier. Haven't fit around to fitting it yet though...

I have done the BAS and the Alisport intercooler.
Also fitted a de-cat and centre muffled removal pipe

Hi Drover,
Did you get the pipes from Alli or someone local?
If local, off the shelf or custom/ mandrel bent for you?
Cheers,
Lou

Hey Lou,
Both of the pipes are TeraFirma, mandrel bent-stainless steel.
Been on for the past 2 1/2 year, no problem - all good.
A good tip is if you fit the decat pipe, do a ceramic glass heat wrap while the pipe is off. Massive improvement in cabin heat is there for a $70 investment.
Cheers

I must still get around to doing a de-cat.
Did you do both at the same time? I'm wondering if removing the centre muffler is worth it?

Hey Naks,
I did the decat first and centre a couple of months later.
The decat is where the most noticeable improvement hides, but the centre helps but not as noticeable as the decat.
Cabin noise is bearly increased with removal of the centre.
The only muffler on my pipe is the small rear resonator.
Cheers

Thanks for this thread guys. I was going to buy an alli sport intercooler altho having seen this I just called Paddok and ordered a serck Intercooler. He said he doesnt sell many of them, and has had no feedback on them, I asked him if it is the same size as the alli sport intercooler and he said the frame is basically the same but the core is a bit thicker on the alli sport, I am happy to pay $350 less and have the serck. Will post up my findings when I recieve it in a week or two. I also asked him if it is the exact same as the td5 alive intercoolers and he said they were.

I Have the Alisport on also, pain to get in as I could not get the studs out the front bar above the grill, seen recent posts on how do do it better since.
I also had to grind a corner of one of the mounting brackets it was too close to a pipe and made me nervous, no biggy though.
I see Alive are doing 2 piece decats now, so if you are happy to cut the old one out you don't need to drop the prop and cross member to get it in, their decat also has a bracket on it now to bolt the heat shield to, the one I bought of them a while ago didn't and had to make up a crappy bracket, I removed my decat for the final end of warranty inspection and have not put it back in yet as the heat shield bracket I made up got lost in my shed.
I agree the wrap for the exhaust is a must, I noticed a huge difference going back to the standard pipe, could be the wrap or the fact there is a red hot cat on it also, but I will go with the wrap doing its job, the heat coming in from the handbrake has come back since.
cheers
Pat
