Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to find a replacement intake boot (fits between airbox and air flow sensor) for my 96 model dual-fuel Discovery? Mine has developed a split and needs to be replaced.

I thought that it was an OEM part reused during the conversion (done by LPGAS1), but I can't find anything that appears to be the same shape and size in the Discovery parts listings. Part # ESR1807 appears to be the original Discovery one, but only looks vaguely similar to mine. This one has the numbers 87DA 9C684-AA embossed into it.

Here are a couple of photos to show what I've got:

Thanks for any suggestions,
Peter

That hose is off an EA Falcon multi point EFI six cylinder engine. The EB/ED hose is similar but has a much shorter flexible section and a noise reducing internal sleeve.

However you will probably be better off cutting away the flex section, installing a piece of steel pipe in the elbow end, and using a VN-VR Commodore flex hose section instead. They are noticeably stronger than the Falcon flexy bits.

BTW if you go into a shop and ask for an "intake boot" I'm not sure you will get any sense, that's an intake hose (or duct) in Oz speak...

Many thanks for the EA model info bee utey, and also for the suggestion of upgrade parts.

And my incorrect naming of the 'duct' explains why I couldn't find much in Google too.
