headlight/flasher switch

Hi, Have lost high beam headlights. But the momentary flasher feature still works.Assume faulty switch. How do I remove it?Have removed the 2 screws as per manual which then says prise edge of switch bracket to clear location peg, (singular). All i can see is a raised section of switch at both top and bottom which may retain the switch. This plastic is quite rigid and to try to raise it seems would risk damage. Any ideas?

I think you'll Controller check your relay so it is working properly before screwing with the whole light lever it can be so that it has direct power when using the momentary flasher. I do not know this but I have more faith that the fault lies somewhere else then the lever., it can be as ridiculous as a fuse, try to remove the high beam fuse and then try if the momentary flasher works.

Hi, As Grief said, Have you checked the obvious bits, eg fuses b4 attempting the column unit removal? They can be tricky sometimes so last resort .

Thanks for reply. Have checked fuses. the blue/white wire that carries power from switch to the fuses has no voltage when switch in high beam position but does when momentary flasher used. This wire normally is live when high beam used as tapped into it to work relay to spotlights some years ago. Cheers.
