Dual Diaphram Brake Booster - 101FC

I am thinking I would like a bit more power assistance on the brakes of my 101. I remember reading somewhere that the dual diaphram brake booster out of a D1/D2 fits but I am not sure.

So does anyone know if the 101 master cylinder will bolt up to the D1/D2 brake booster and in turn will the booster bolt straight up to the nose cone without drilling new holes etc. Has anyone actually done it?? If so, how well does it work.

Might be an option worth investigating.
101 club sells a conversion for something similar. Do you know the details of that?

I have nothing to do with the 101 Club, so no.

The 101 Club adapter works with an early 110 Servo (STC2878) to allow it to fit the 101 pedal box with either a 101 or Series III (again modded to suit the 101 installation) master cylinder.

Basically a square plate with 9 holes, a big one in the middle, 4 for the servo, and 4 for the pedal box.
There's also a new Clevis to replace the 110 one which is shorter, and a different setup at the pedal end.

The kit works well enough, but does need a bit of modding to fit.
No idea if the Disco servo can be made to fit in a similar manner, but as its about half a mile long I'd wonder if it would fit in the space available.

Thanks for that - but as said unless the the kit is sold by someone else I do not have access to stuff from the 101 club.

Is the 110 booster a dual diaphram booste or a single diaphram booster.

From your description, without the kit it would take a bit of mucking around which I am not prepared to undertake. I was hoping the Disco dual diaphram booster would go straight in but I guess not.

Missed this thread Garry, thanks for the link. AJ has a D1 booster in his, but I didn't pay any attention to how he did it when I was there the other week, I was too busy looking at his Power Steering...:D

Grabbed a D1 dual diaphragm booster from Landover this arvo to see if it may fit in the 101. It's not as big as I thought - only about 30mm or so thicker and with new mounting brackets should fit fine. (I measured it with the palm of my hand, so don't take that measurement as gospel at the moment.:D)

The master cylinder will come close to bolting on - again with a rough measure, it looks similar - ish...

I'll still go over to AJ's at some stage to see how he has done his, but with a bit of steel plate and a folding machine (which I have access to) it shouldn't be hard to fab something up.

I'm not going to start immediately on this project, but I'll post the results if I manage to sort it out.
