catch-22

Before I take this to Land Rover....
- Idles perfectly
- In Park, slowly revving the motor to 6000rpm and from about 1500 the vibration gets noticeably worse until 4300.
- After 4300rpm it smooths perfectly
I did have a leak from the top larger vacuum hose connecting to the air intake hose but fix this with glue and silicon until a new unit can be sought.
Given the sudden stop of the vibration at 4300rpm, it points to motor related and not something vibrating seperate to the motor.
When driving, it happens in the first couple of gears and I didn't want to go any faster so didn't test gear 3 and up. When coasting back down to stopping speed, it doesn't vibrate - only on the way up the rev range..
Suggestions welcome before I spend more..
Cheers
