Hello people
i purchased one of these from our northern neighbours, probably the best $31.00 iv'e spent this week for home workshop use.comes with software and USB lead, hooks up to your laptop or PC or IPAD,any video device really.
good for checking those horrible noises in hard to get spots.70cm flexible cable from camera to control handle.
has its' own led light source which is adjustable in brightness and also a still photo button for that snap you might want to blow up in size.

How does it hook up to your iPad?

If Im in the garage, I don't want a borescope that hooks up to th computer - I want something that's portable. There are wifi ones for $200 that broadcast wifi to your iphone/ipad that look good but I can't justify. but for $30 I can if it works....

Hi
the borescope has a usb lead on it that should plug into your Ipad, this is about 1.5mtrs long.
see the link on the first message and look at the ebay auction
here it is,also on the same site this lead for an Iphone.

I bought a cheap (approx $35) USB borescope from Jaycar. It is rubbish, the image quality is appalling.

Pretty sure it is not as simple as getting the physical USB connection right for the iPad. The iPad does not like to provide power to USB connected devices e.g., you cannot read a Compact Flash card via the USB port. I therefore doubt that you will be able to power the LEDs and camera electronics if it requires anymore than a few milliamps. The only device that I have been able to power from an iPad via the USB port is an SD card.

Modelsp, any chance of getting some screen captures of the image quality?

I have been looking at purchasing a inspection camera for the last couple of months. Worried about image quality & usability, but am sick of procrastinating!
