Anyone had this happen before?
while I was driving to Wollongong yesterday the plug(?) on the front of the engine in line with the camshaft disappeared (Fell out, I guess). I didn't realise until I got to my destination and noticed oil on the back door, & then under the car, & then all over the engine bay, & then on the front wing & drivers door:(.
Of course nowhere in Wollongong had one, so I had to leave the disco in my customers carpark for the weekend until I get the new one on monday form Gary at CLR.
The dipstick was dry, but strangely (to my mind) the oil pressure light stayed off, & when I started it to move it off the road it went off as per normal.
I don't think I've cooked the engine - have to wait & see after I replace the plug & fill it up with oil again
