Don't do this if your 300TDi D1 has 545,000 kilometres on it, as the ignition lock might end up rolling around on the floor. :p
I had to get my wife to remove all of her bling off her keys to keep the lock working happily, she wasn't good about this at first, but after a while she realized that she really didn't need to call the RAC tilt tray each time to get home . :lock:
