I have recently had my fuel pump adjusted as I have installed an Alisport intercooler and the previous owner upgraded the turbo. I now have some interesting noises which I am not sure whether they are good or bad, I wonder if anyone can tell me.
Firstly when accelerating, from inside the car with windows closed I can hear my Snorkel sucking down air, the higher the revs the deeper the breath. need I be concerned?
Secondly from cold start I can hear a shallow howl from under the bonnet that wasn't here before the adjustment, it goes away once the engine has warmed up.
thanks in advance.

Hi.
The snorkel noise is probably fine... I'm guessing it goes quite a lot better than it used to if you have induction noise! IMO the snorkels are a bit more restrictive than they could be. Thats why the 'big power boys' go for stainless 3" gas flowed intakes and exhausts.. As for the shallow howl, the turbo is probably working well now! The exhaust is probably a bit of a restriction, but that'll come later!! It would be interesting to know what the EGT's and boost pressures are doing now...

Hmmm, yes, EGT on it's way soon.
The turbo is singing like a bird on a spring morning. love it!
