If you like me has a uhf up in the roof consol of your D2 then you will know what i mean, if you use one of those Id card holders that reel in and out then 1 end goes on cord ,belt clip part slides on roof shelf and retracts the mic cord when use finish talking, probably been done to death but i like showin off my real smarts edumacation

yes! accommodating accessory radios in a modern car especially a DISCO is a challenge - here's my solution........

I installed a CB up in the same place as frosty blue, and for six months struggled with the dilema of the mic cord whipping around and the mic bouncing out of its holder as the going got bouncey on tracks.

Then one day a mate of mine was in the passenger seat and mentioned that he had velcroed the back of his mic and the opposite velcro onto the roof plastic to prevent such excitement as the mic whiplashing past his chops......

50 cents of Velcro later, and I added one of the little visor holders to trap the cord and hey presto no more mic wizzing past my face as I negotiate obstacles.

I hope that makes sense, I can take a photo tomorrow and post it, its a very simple fix.
