So I started to strip down the 55' today.
I have now remembered what a pain it is to undo bolts that have been done up for over 50 years.
The real pain is once I've got one stripped, I got a second to strip and that ones 99% complete (but smashed, rotten and modified)!
Pics to follow. Also got a lead on a couple more series 1's today as well as a 62' SWB ex-army.

Haha!
Yeah I really do! Shame they cost more than the car!

That's why he sold you the car so cheap. It's the hook. He'll make all his miney selling you the tools.

Hmm...
The vehicle I am am rebuilding ( good chassis & BH) appears to have been either grey (now mixed with red dust) or sand?
How do I find out where and to whom it was sold again?

Some pics...you can see the 54' in the background that's donating 60% of the other bits I need.
Picked up another engine stand today to take the 2lt motor I got with the 54'.
My moneys on CACTUS but you never know!

The way you were buying and selling I thought you were chasing an easy fix . Clearly this was not the case and you were after a far more challenging restoration. I was going to get my 109 put on a car carrier and delivered to Perth . Then I had an idea who would enjoy the challenge of driving across Australia with me with only a rounded flat blade screw driver and a 6 inch shifter for a tool kit. A set of second hand points and a condenser of unkown reliability for spares . A box of tropical green lights for camp fire and some vegimite sandwiches for dinner . A holey swag and rusty jerry can . Ahh this is the stuff of true adventure so what are you up to in a couple of weeks Cliffy??????;)

Nah man, I was after something non-molested.
If you are after a ute I could have put you onto one in Northam.
I'm saving up my east west travel time for my Perentie + No5 trailer.
Having said that, I'd love to drive over if I had the time.

Yes a 107. Really complete. The guy never wanted to sell but last time we spoke he was prepared to sell to me.
It's complete bar it's missing headlights.
To be fair to the guy it would have to go to a dedicated enthusiast.

A 107 would be handy for carting the bike around John.
