My Sisters HP only has 512GB ram, I would like to install another 512 for her.
But it's an old one. Would I use 184 pin DRAM? I believe the bus speed is only 133Mhtz
but ram speed is usually backwards compatible. isn't it.
No we don't want to upgrde to another pc, just want more ram for her existing one
Thanks Mario

According to this (http://www.datamemorysystems.com/dms-memory/hewlett-packard/pavilion-media-center-a1355a.htm) it needs DDR2 240 pin RAM. Maximum of 1gig per stick, 2gig total.

Thanks Dave I checked it out, but the link was for a media centre not Pavilion. I have run them an email to confirm.
thanks Regards, Mario

It actually says Pavillion Media Centre, which if you search on the HP website for the model number A1355A that you've given above, seems to be the full description that HP allocate to it.

I've got a HP at home which has memory in it. It was a customers old rig that they didn't want when they upgraded. I'll check to see what type of memory it is when I get home. You can have it if its compatible
