I have done my head gasket in on my mazda e2000 campervan. I am wondering if I can replace the head gasket with out removing the engine but pulling it out through the seating?
Any comment would be gratefully appreciated.
Regards
Brett
Ps For once its not my 97tdi causing the inquiry lol

Can be done. Pretty sure you unbolt the seat, and then there's like an extension plate with bolts that you can remove to the side which will give you more space to get the head out.
Hope this helps.

Really quite easy with the seat and floor out IF it isn't a campervan or flat tray etc with a bulkhead behind....:(
in a way it is as easy as any car as the whole floor almost can be removed. Don't be scared just keep unbolting panels:D
The only drawback is lighting, it can get a little dark in there so make sure you have adequate illumination.
We had a motorhome in here a while back where the tilt cab had been prevented from being tilted due to the roof/ bed over the cab. Doubled the effort to do simple tasks:mad::mad::mad:
Have a Turbo to fit to a Mitsi Canter 4x4 motorhome and at least THAT one has a camper body that doesn't exyend over the cab so we can tilt it.
Happy days...:o
