First crack got 10763 without to much looking around. had 2 in australia and got them pretty close thanks to a for sale sign on one of them

I got over 16000 on my first go - it was nice and easy (apart from one featureless dirt track) and gave me enough Googleable clues. My next try was mainly mountain passes in Namibia and the like. The closest I got was a wild stab in the dark at somewhere being in North America which was actually somewhere in Canada.

Anyway, afternoon is being successfully wasted!

had 3 goes at it...

once I worked out I could zoom the minimap I could get it within 1000Km every go BUT I had the advantage of most of the time the architecture made it easy to work out OR they had languages on signs that gave it away.

IMHO, googlings cheating, but getting some odd ball friends over for a game is fair play.

Best I got was 13960 with no Googling.

Funniest I had was a place we'd been to on holiday in Turkey, and I was sad enough to remember what the car park looked like.

Very high on my list of time wasters though!
