Hi fellas

We just bought a new FL2 TD4 SE.
The car is very refined for a Diesel (our first Diesel car) and cruises with little to no effort on the freeways.

Couple of things I have noticed,
1) at 80+Kph there is a faint little wobble which almost seems like an issue to wheel balancing +/- alignment. But, this is a brand new car. Its not something to do with this being an SUV, is it?
2) the windshield wipers are sticky and jumpy when there is minimal rain (but the rain is still enough to obstruct my vision to an extent). The dealer guy said it should go away after a few cycles of use but after an hours' drive in rain yesterday, it still has the same issue. Mind you, it works smoothly when there is heavy downpour and the wipers are running at full tilt. Is this a common issue that can be corrected easily or should I just take it back to the dealer?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi bfl2 and welcome to the forum.

Both of these issues are pretty minor but shouldn't be there. Take it back to the dealer until you get them resolved. I had a 13MY as a loaner a couple of weeks ago (when my new Disco was in getting a wheel alignment at no cost as it was pulling very slightly to the left) and I was amazed at how good a vehicle it was - even better than earlier ones. It certainly had neither of these issues.

Its not unreasonable to get a wheel balance and a new set of wiper blades under warranty. Try demonstrating the vibration to them.

Good luck and don't let these little things spoil your enjoyment of a great vehicle.

Cheers,
Jon
