Fitting new rear propshaft on 1994 300Tdi 110

Broke my prop shaft a month or so ago. Have ordered a new one but want to know is there a right and wrong way of fitting it? Does it need to be balanced?

As long as you do not get curious and pull the end off the spline , the new driveshaft will be "plug and Play" and not have a chip on it's shoulder.
