Can anyone provide the build date and or VIN the MY07 update was introduced? I have a vague recollection it was labelled the MY07.5 update but that didn't indicate the build date anyway.
TIA.

All vins from 7A are the updated model.
Ie, SALLSAA138Axxxxxx is what my MY08 RRS VIN starts with. D3 vin has a few different characters, but it still has the 7A etc.
Changes were, for the engine, a change from EU3 to EU4 emissions compliance, which involved at least, the fuel system including the tank pump, lines, filter, HPFP and injectors, the EGRS, the oil pump is a different model which occasionally breaks at the timing belt tensioner casting and has since been upgraded again, the engine management. The air suspension and steering had minor upgrades in response to common problems; the interior had minor changes to the colour scheme.
8A at least on the RRS had additional small changes to the interior spec along with a few new colours being available.

IIRC there were further changes mid-way through the 07 model year, one being that the e-diff became connected directly to the high-speed canbus rather than to the transfer case via a private canbus. I suspected the height sensor / suspension ecu relationships also changed but perhaps that occurred at the beginning of MY07. The changes I'm referring to occurred early in the calendar year, not at the MY change-over in August/September.

Thanks Gary but I'm looking for the introduction of the change in height sensor operation with the change in part numbers probably the indicator. Its only for my curiosity.

I thought the 07MY started in the second half of 2006 and ended in the early second half of 2007 when 08MY came in. My car is a 07MY with a build date of 13 Apr 2007. Most later 2007 cars I have come across are 08MY.

Graeme, I've got a late Sept 06 build MY07 D3 with rear e-diff if there's something that would help you as a start point.

Hi Graeme - my MY07 D3 was built in October 2006 IIRC, and delivered on 29/12/2006. I think they started building MY07 in September 2006. I can't say I remember the MY07.5, but there was a MY08.5 (mid-year update).

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I don't recall the MY08.5 so perhaps I've got it wrong thinking it was MY07.5. This makes more sense as there were lots of changes for MY07 and to have another update some 4 months later seems a bit premature.
The reason for the question is that somewhere after MY06 the suspension ecu doesn't give a "remove obstacle" warning message when using Llams extra low even though it still works and I'm interested to know just when the message stopped being issued. I suspect the change in height sensor signal setup occurred at the same time. If someone with an 06 build MY07 with Llams then perhaps you could let me know if using extra low causes the warning message or not, assuming the Llams version supports extra low.
