A species of Borg Warner I believe, either BW35 or BW40.

Some also ran GMH Trimatics too I was told :o. I think only in the later Vanden Plas EFI, circa 1985?

BW-65
no bands.
GM 180 is a French trimatic--unfortunately,the unit I worked on was based on the HT/HG 1970 version
to get parts for a Suzuki vitara we had the raid the holden archives.

My mums old 78 SD1 had the BW trans and i believe it was the EFI models that had the GM180's , wish mum still had hers as it was a personal import with no emissions crap and a hi comp 3.5.

I suspect Davehoos is on the money, it looks nothing like any traumatic or BW35 I've ever seen....
