I've just got home from a 3-day motorbike ride to Temora and surrounds and thought I show a few pics. I must get there for an air show one day. We stayed in one of the cabins at the aerodrome.

Just on dusk last night, this C-130J from RAAF Richmond arrived after doing a training exercise at Lake Cargelligo. They were waiting until dark before going back for night practice. So I slipped onto the ramp to get some pics. The pilot was a pretty young thing (yes, female).

Unfortunately, I didn't have my Pentax K-5 camera (nor my best lenses). The K-5 has much better low light performance. I didn't want to subject them to vibration in the bike topbox. I was using my old Pentax *istD DSLR and a kit lens which I can afford to lose.
