Standard height Bilstien shocks - American the same as Aus?

Hi all,
I realize that this topic has been mentioned quit a few times, however
after trawling through a lot of threads (I have mainly found info on 2" raised suspension) I am still no closer to finding out if American standard height Bilstein shocks for 2003 D2's front and rear are the same valving as Aus specked units from say Suspension Stuff, etc. One can purchase a set of front 24-060462 (new code - old code was BE5-6046-H0) and rear 24-060479 (old code was BE5-6047-H0) for US$ 133.50 each (US$534 + postage for all 4). When one compares this to Australian quotes of around Aus $950 + $50 postage (BE5-6046 front and BE5-6047 rear) it would seem very tempting to purchase from the US.

Has anyone in Oz gone with the US specked shocks for standard and or raised height and if so how do they perform?

If so - what springs have been used at the same time?

I have seen in some threads that people think valving can be changed before leaving shop - I asked Suspension stuff here what valving Aus specked units are set at but apparently that info is not known to them.

I understand that there is no difference whether it's from Europe, US or in Australia, as the part nr is the same. Others will have to comment on the springs etc, although Kings seem to be mentioned in a good light a lot.

The American shocks have until now had the H0 at the end of the code (whereas the Aus ones don't seem to). Maybe means nothing?

I think it's a revision code or something. Some were h1 and some h2.

I've got the US standard height bilsteins on my 2000 D2. Bought from Truckspring in the US a few years ago. (Ridiculously cheap compared to AU prices)
Same, same ... just a different code.

They are the same.

I had standard height Bilsteins in my D2a which I purchased from the USA.

When I purchased the +2" from Suspension Stuff they supplied the standard height units instead. They argued with me for sometime claiming that they had supplied the +2" units, removed the standard height ones that I bought from the USA and the part numbers (and length were matching).

Have put BE5-6046-H1 (front), BE5-6047-H2 (rear) from eShocks (US) with no dramas on standard height 2003 D2 sls. Stiff, but work well under load off road.
