I'm aware of the forum's rules on naming and shaming, but I want to put this out there... as I do not ever recall a time I have been as ****ed off over something as this.
I dropped a radiator in out of a D1 to get a clean out.
I expected at most, worst case, a two week turnaround (although most places seem to do it in 48 hours).
This was EIGHT weeks ago.
I have called a number of times to follow up and gotten voicemail or no answer. I dropped in several times around the 3 and 4 week mark to hurry things up and was continually told to return "next week" and it'll be ready.
I never heard back.
A change of circumstances suddenly meant getting this car driving was number one priority.
I headed down this Monday to pick it up to take elsewhere. The shop is shut, the lawn is three foot high, there's half a tonne of mail under the door. I'm guessing this place has sunk. I can SEE MY DAMN RADIATOR through the window untouched, same as it was dropped in eight weeks ago.
I headed back down today and the place is still shut with even more mail piled up. I asked a neighbouring shop what the deal was here. Apparently, when business gets tough, the guy goes underground and doesn't front to work. He went on to detail other mismanagement.
Thankfully another AULRO has fixed me up with a set of decent end tanks and I've got a re-core in the makings (also, I will reply to PMs to those who have offered a storage place for my truck. Sorry, been so ridonkulously busy).
So, if you're in VIC, Banyule City Council area BE VERY CAREFUL!!!
