Hi all, just wondering if anybody wanted to share where they mounted their compressor and activation switch in their Puma?

I'm thinking about removing the standard jack equipment from under the left hand seat, and mounting the compressor there. I have no idea where to mount the switch as I don't want to spoil my nice new Puma interior!

My Puma will eventually have the diff lock switches as well!

Any photos or recommendations welcome!

I have my compressor under the seat to keep the cable run short and switches by my right hand alongside the steering - see pic. I have plumbed an outlet for the compressor alongside of the passenger seat - drilled a hole and mounted it solid so I can plug in my air line. Better than on the outside as it stays nice and clean. Also have a 175amp Anderson plug hard wired there for jump starting and a C-Tek charger plug for battery charging/maintenance, so I dont have to lift the seat (a harder job in mine as I have aftermarket Sheel seats which need 2 allen bolts removed to then tilt it back to get at the batteries - fine for servicing)

Grab a compressor dash switch from Mulgo. They are identical to the OEM dash buttons and will fit in to one of the spare slots. Not sure how much current draw is on a compressor. You might need to run a relay between the switch and he compressor.

You can get a dash "pod" that mounts above the clock on top ofthe dash, it will take the two diff lock and comp switches and looks the goods.

Yep, and I can sell you one cheap as I took a Dremel to my Puma's dashboard and fitted a bank of Carling switches (compressor, lockers, work lights, winch, etc).

I mounted my ARB compressor in the wasted space in my Black Widow storage drawers - hose exits the driver's side passenger door and reaches all 4wheels easily. It's the single motor model - when it dies, I'll fit the double-donk model unde the rear seats.

This is IMO by far the best option in a Puma. Splash now and buy all the switches to replace the current "blanks" in your dashboard!

The carling switches and missile switches looks good in Tdi's and Td5's (hard core Tomb Raider Style!), but the OME style switches from Mulgo is a must in a Puma...

Cheers,

Lou

I have carling switches cut into the dash, I replaced the OME blanks with switches for the spot lights but then needed switches for the lockers, winch,

And mounted the compressor under the drivers seat

After I took all the electrics out from under the driver's seat and put them in a Mulgo Xbox, I found the original electrics bracket fitted the ARB compressor perfectly.

ARB recommended I fit compressor to right of pedal box on the firewall. I hope to fit it this week.
