I seem to recall a mention on here recently of switches that will fit the blanked holes in the Puma dash, thought they were mulgo but a search of their website did not bring up any switches. Does anyone know who supplies them? Getting geared up to install my front Ashcroft locker and would like to relocate the compressor and rear locker switch whilst I'm at it.

Here you go, expedition centre is Mulgo's other website.

Thanks guys, the Mulgo one is what I was after, but that price is ridiculous- I'm not about to spend $153.00 plus postage to change the three switches.
The Mud switches are the same as the ones I already have. I think I'll stick with what i've got and find a suitable mounting location for the three.

POD, how about something like this.
I got these blanks engraved down the local locksmith. I bought the switches from the UK somewhere. Cant recall where but should be able to drag it up again.
You definitely need on/off switches, mine were rear windscreen wiper I think, then added my blanks. You definitely DONT want the switch that works the rear fog light.

My understanding is that Disco 2 switches fit. Keep an eye on eBay (http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=300901608991&globalID=EBAY-AU)

That's exactly the sort of thing I had in mind, I'll have a look for switches from D2 and see if they fit. If I understand you right, the existing blanking plugs can be used for the switch facia?

Okay, so a push on-push off switch from a D2 such as hill descent control or hazard lights should be useable? There's a few on eBay for about $10 each, much more like it.

There's a very good chance it will fit. I've used Disco 2 switches in my Puma. If you don't like the red and yellow symbol on the HDC switch you can use the fascia from the blank that you remove instead. A carefully placed hole in the blank fascia will enable the lens for the orange indicator LED to be fitted. You can get a symbol placed on the blank using a laser or as per newhue's post you can get it engraved. Either way it is about removing the grey paint to reveal the white surface below. Once you've got a switch, the next problem is the plug. They can be purchased from dingocroft.co.uk, part number zzplug01.
Beware that not all disco/defender switches use the simple wiring you'd expect. There's some info about that here (http://forum.lro.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=47654). I'm not sure which type of switch the HDC is. Typically, I use the Disco 2 cruise control switch (it uses standard wiring) and replace the facia with a defender style facia. More expensive than $10 though. Also, it is worth verifying if the HDC switch is a latching switch or not. You will probably have to remove some splines from the back of the switch so that the zzplug01 will fit. A sharp hobby knife will do this easily.

Thanks RVR110. Good info in the linked post, not as simple as I thought, should have known! Seems that switches which activate an ECU-controlled function are not suitable for operating a simple circuit. My thought was to obtain 3 switches complete with plug and a few inches of wire cut from the harness of a D2, and splice the wiring from the ARB loom to the existing plugs. Now it's a matter of working out which switches are suitable. Finding 3 rear wiper switches means finding 3 different D2s with someone willing to cut the harness.. ..Hang it, I guess new plugs aren't going to break me.

This is why the mulgo plugs are so expensive I think, I put him onto them and you actually have to cut a tract on the PCB and do some other mods to make them work. Also at some point the supplier OS jacked the price up on him which seemed a bit silly.
