Replacing defender hcpu tailgate springs

Hi all,

Any tricks or tips to replace the springs on the tailgate latches?

Looks like some sort of blind rivet that needs to be cut out and replaced?

Hope it's simpler than this?

Oliver - I simply got new latches . Haven't heard of anyone replacing the springs, but worth a try I guess.

Mr Ploppy, do you remember where the latches came from that you got? I haven't had any luck searching online, probably using the wrong words though.

I can't remember where i got mine from but I usually go through DLS (http://www.dls-uk.co.uk/defender.html) in the UK - try send them an email.
